At GlassBuild America, we get the chance to talk with professionals who literally are building the world around us. We hear what’s working, what’s not and where things are headed. All these details coming straight from those on the frontlines. These conversations ground us. They remind us why we do what we do and motivate us to keep improving the tools and support we provide - especially in the technology space.

For CAD-PLAN, GlassBuild isn’t just another event on the calendar. It’s something we prepare for months in advance. It’s an opportunity to bring value, share insights and connect directly with the people shaping our industry.

During GlassBuild 2024, we were honored to receive the Best in Show award. We were genuinely thrilled and honestly a little stunned. To be recognized by our peers and the industry was powerful validation. It confirmed that our mission to make drafting and design smarter, more engaging, and yes – even fun – is hitting the mark. Our Wild West theme – complete with nerf guns – was our way of showing while there are many tools out there, the right tool can really make a difference.

More than awards or recognition, what truly makes GlassBuild special is the face-to-face interaction. Whether it’s a quick demo with a drafting team, a deep technical conversation with a façade engineering expert or simply swapping stories with booth neighbors, every conversation counts. Every connection matters.

Extending our GlassBuild experience last year, we also planned visits to local glazing, façade and railing companies in Texas. It turned into something much more meaningful. I expected to talk about projects and software. Instead, I found myself hearing personal stories – stories of perseverance, growth and ambition. It reminded me that this industry isn’t just about buildings and blueprints – it’s about people. People working hard, solving tough problems, and building a future for themselves and their families.

That’s why GlassBuild America is so important to us. It’s where the industry comes together to learn, grow and move forward. It’s where we get to showcase what we’ve built, listen to what others need and shape what comes next – together.

When we come together again this November at GlassBuild in Florida, we’re going full arcade-mode with a playful Galaga-inspired experience. Why? Because just like in the game, it’s all about leveling up – your tools, your workflow and your designs. We want to show you how ATHENA helps glazing and façade teams draft smarter, faster and with more confidence. Swing by #22012 to chat, play and challenge us at Galaga, and let us show you how to level up your drafting with tools built for the current and future realities of façade and glazing work.
