And what do they mean for glass and fenestration in years to come? Find out during this can't-miss panel discussion.
Performance Considerations for Fenestration and Glass
presented by the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance
Don't miss out on learning updated seismic performance requirements for glass and fenestration systems. An FGIA technical leader will outline the differences between, and important considerations for, three types of seismic movement as noted in AAMA 501.4, 501.6 and 501.7. The session will include updates on the latest shake table in addition to news of ongoing task group work for the three standards.
The Importance of Having Uncomfortable Conversations
Approximately 1,000 construction workers die on job sites each year. Over 5,000 people working in construction will die by suicide each year. Emotional safety is just as important as the physical safety of the workforce. In fact, one could argue that it is 5x as important when it comes to efforts to save the lives of our fellow workers. Together, we have the power to save lives. With awareness, we can work to identify the warning signs of someone who may be at risk, and learn language to initiate a conversation to help them and others.
Presented by the NGA in recognition of its 75th Anniversary
Back by popular demand, dynamic industry forecaster Connor Lokar returns to the GlassBuild Main Stage for a special keynote on the economic outlook for construction. For the first time, Lokar brings his full-length forecast to the GlassBuild show floor. He will provide an in-depth look at the state of the economy and what's to come for glass companies, and he will offer essential insights and takeaways for glass and fenestration leaders to ensure they are prepared to face the coming challenges and opportunities from an always-changing construction environment.

presented by the NGA Advocacy & Technical Team
NGA's Advocacy & Technical team will present updates to standards and codes that impact the glass and glazing industry. Learn what types of products meet the new Energy Star requirements, where bird-friendly glazing is required, how to comply with requests for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), research on the thermal performance of spandrel glass, and more.
Hear the latest trends, industry performance data, outlook information and more for the residential fenestration market in this session from John Burns Research and Consulting and Window + Door magazine. Chris Beard, JBREC's director, Building Products Research, will present top takeaways from the inaugural window and door manufacturers' market report, based on a new survey conducted by JBREC in conjunction with W+D magazine.
Studies show that diverse business teams deliver better results and make better decisions. Companies with voices representing people of more distinct backgrounds and different races, genders, religions and more are often better poised to face even the most daunting challenges on the horizon. Find out how to continue to improve your company through a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Come celebrate the 2023 Glass Magazine Award winners! The award winners represent the full gamut of what glass and metal systems have to offer to the spaces where we live, learn, work and play. Winning projects and products continue to showcase sustainable and green solutions, including energy efficiency, as well as provide a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces through the use of glass. The ceremony at the GlassBuild America Main Stage will recognize this year's recipients for the projects and products that showcase the best in glass and glazing. A champagne reception will follow the ceremony.

Keynote: "Flexibility and Gender Diversity," from Colleen Pritchett, president, U.S. Windows, Cornerstone Building Brands
It's hard to be what you cannot see. Female role models matter for girls and women. Whether in the field, on the floor, in the office, or in the board room- seeing a little bit of yourself in someone, having someone to look up to well, that's just human nature. And that's the point of this session. From identifying role models to building your network of women to support and work together on common goals to inspiring the next generation of young women to see what they can be- it will all be happening this year at GlassBuild Mainstage.
