New Wood's Powr-Grip 8-inch Hand Cup Pad Redesign
Hand-Cup Features Fast Attach and Release.
Considered by glaziers to be Wood's "Best One Yet"
If you are familiar with the profile of the Wood's Powr-Grip hand-cup, at first glance the new hand cup looks the same, but the 8-inch pad underwent a redesign that rolled out in 2023. The changes are sure to please users: When the cup is first applied firmly to a load surface, the pad establishes an initial grip onto the load, keeping the cup in place until the user finishes the vacuum attachment by pumping the plunger. While some users were able to do this with earlier versions of a standard 8-inch hand cup, the result was never a certainty because it had never been engineered into the pad design. Now, this initial grip can be achieved more consistently.

Connect cladding or curtain walls faster and easier with the Edge-Tie™ system from Simpson Strong-Tie. Our system uses a unique extruded steel beam shape and pour stop combination. It provides higher strength than typical bent plates and fits any steel building with no height limitations. An innovative continuous channel minimizes anchor attachment planning and simplifies installation or adjustment of cladding connections. The Edge-Tie system uses a bolted facade connection, which requires no field welding and allows for fast installation with less labor. It also includes a reusable, bolted guardrail attachment that can remain in place during and after curtain wall installation. With our strong, versatile and highly flexible system, you’ll enclose buildings quickly and reduce overall project schedules and costs.
The OMNI 1800 glazes at elevated heights using a telehandler or off-road forklift, and it can be used inside and outside a building envelope to allow for safe and efficient glazing of glass and windows weighing up to 1800 pounds. Also, it is easy to maintain and repair.
The machine has a fully integrated and independent power supply to drive electric actuators and vacuum pumps. Its Dual Vacuum System includes spring-loaded vacuum cups with 6 adjustable (2 x 16-inch and 4 x 12-inch cups) to deliver greater safety while handling glass.
The OMNI 1800 is operated with a convenient wireless remote (the machine is supplied with two wireless controls), which controls 6 degrees of precise movement for better managing precision glazing. Including, Vertical lift 12”, Forward Extension 12”, 100° Tilt Range (10° rear tilt, 90° tilt to horizontal), Side Shift 12”, 360° Rotation, 60° Side Pivot (30° Left – 30° Right).

The new CRL DRX Modular Door Rail System deconstructs a standard door rail into independent parts giving glass temperers and glaziers greater control over when, where and how door rails are installed, adjusted and updated. Unlike standard door rails, the DRX system features independent side covers and end caps that can be easily installed or replaced without having to remove the door from the pivot. The system also features 10 ½-inch-length rail bodies that can be moved along the glass to accommodate standard or custom door lengths. Because of this, they can be stocked to virtually eliminate lead times for installing custom glass doors.
With the DRX system, making adjustments to the glass door after it is installed in the pivot is easier than ever before. The improved CRL Kwik-Adjust™️ Pivot Alignment System allows +/- 2 degrees of door angle adjustment to precisely align it to the adjacent sidelite or door. Side-to-side 3/16-inch (5 millimeter) adjustments in either direction can also be made to the door while in the pivot.

Solarlite® glass can be glazed with the reflective coating positioned on either the first or second surface. The glass has improved performance and higher exterior visible reflectivity with a metallic sheen when installed with the coating on the first surface. Combined in insulating glass units with clear glass, Solarlite® glass offers an expansive palette of appearance and performance options with solar heat gain coefficients (SHGCs) ranging from 0.34 to 0.14 and exterior reflectance of up to 37 percent.
When installed with the coating on the second surface, the glass has lower exterior visible reflectivity and maintains the substrate glass color. Solarlite® glass is available in different ranges - Clear, Euro Grey, Coal Grey, Euro Bronze and Sky Blue®.
Vistalite®'s subtly reflective color-enriched glass transmits generous levels of visible light and provides color neutrality, which amplifies and enriches the tint of the glass substrate underneath without a mirror-like appearance. More understated than traditional reflective glass, Vistalite® glass is available in Clear and has two distinct tints—Sky Blue® and Euro Grey.
